The Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) a ‘Reference Pack’ for Institutions (2014) built directly upon the extensive work undertaken by 30 universities and university colleges, comprised of a diverse range of types and size of institution. The Reference Pack is designed to support all UK higher education institutions and those organisations that work with them (e.g. third party software system providers). This pack has since been updated, as of December 2017, and is available to download via the link below.
It offers a framework for developing the HEAR, by establishing:
• a core data set that should appear in all exit document HEARs; and
• the option for universities to add ‘additional information’, within defined and regulated parameters agreed by the institution, to reflect the wider achievement of their students.
In addition to downloading the HEAR Reference pack you may wish to register yourselves, or a colleague, on the ‘HEAR extension’ JISC mail list: HEAR-EXTENSION-LIST@JISCMAIL.AC.UK This will enable you to keep up-to-date with developments, including new materials as these are published, receive notification of workshops and other dissemination activities, and raise queries directly with ourselves and others offering institutional support.
